Omanis we met

All the people we met in the Sultanate of Oman were extraordinarily kind and communicative. Many of them just came over to us to talk, to ask if we needed something, to offer guidance to nearby interesting places or to give us some fruit as a gift. Everyone greeted us when we walked by - even people in cars stopped to say hello. We were very impressed of the hospitality of the Omanis.
Many men did not decline our requests to photograph them, and they even posed for us. Almost every woman disapproved of being photographed, and we always respected their wishes - of course this also applied to young girls. As guests in this hospitable country we felt ashamed of some other tourists, who did not respect the wishes of the Omanis.
